Dallas, Texas, United States Pratt Retail Specialties - Production Facilities Full time
About the Role

Picture your morning: you open OM Partners, scan the production schedules, and translate demand signals into clear replenishment actions. You reconcile on‑hand counts, confirm the Open PO report is tight, and push or pull purchase orders to keep the plant running without overstock. A quick stand‑up with the Warehouse Manager confirms inbound statuses, and you loop in stakeholders who need to know what is landing, when, and why.

By afternoon, you're expediting with vendors, partnering with freight carriers to protect on‑time delivery, and closing out invoice discrepancies. You dig into Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), drive root cause and corrective actions, secure credit for nonconforming inventory, and finalize dispositions that protect inventory accuracy and flow.

What You Will Own
  • Read and interpret OM Partners production schedules and inventory reports to determine item availability, quantities required, and priorities.
  • Own the accuracy of all on‑hand inventory at the plant.
  • Manage the Open Purchase Order (PO) report; proactively push/pull POs to align with changing needs.
  • Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager on daily inbound receipts and communicate status to relevant leaders.
  • Prepare and place POs to replenish inventory at the right time and quantity.
  • Partner with suppliers to expedite shipments and resolve shipping issues.
  • Work with freight carriers to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve invoice variances.
  • Lead plant‑level SCARs: root cause, corrective action, credits for nonconforming inventory, and final disposition.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3–5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Background in inventory management within Retail, Packaging, or Industrial Distribution.
  • Detail orientation with the ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Comfort juggling multiple priorities and performing under pressure.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; AS400 experience preferred.
Core Competencies

Language skills: Strong communicator who can read and interpret sales reports, operating instructions, and training/procedure manuals; able to write clear reports and routine correspondence.

Reasoning ability: Applies sound judgment to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; solves a range of problems when information or standardization is limited.
