Work Schedule:

LPNs work 7 shifts every pay period, spanning 12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. Rotations change every four months based on departmental needs. Shifts are scheduled by the Flight Commander and include Day (0545 – 1815) and Night (1745 – 0615) times.

Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):

  • Degree/Education:
    • Graduate from an accredited nursing school and successfully pass the NCLEX-PN boards.
  • Experience:
    • Mandatory employment in nursing within the last 12 months and a minimum of 2 years of active clinical nursing practice in an inpatient setting.
  • Licensure:
    • Hold an active and unrestricted LPN/LVN license from any U.S. state.
  • Life Support Certifications:
    • Maintain current ARC or AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Completion of S.T.A.B.L.E and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Certification:
    • Contractor must provide documentation/certification of IV therapy training from one of the following educational alternatives: Post-graduate level course, Credit for Previous Education, or Nontraditional Education.
  • Security:
    • Possess the ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearance.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct exams, provide health education, administer medications and personalized care.
  • Assign tasks, respond to emergencies, and coordinate patient care.
  • Assess patients, conduct procedures, and manage specialized equipment.
  • Prescribe treatment plans and address patient needs.
  • Coordinate care with external agencies, maintain equipment, and engage in administrative tasks.
  • Attend professional meetings and utilize computer skills for data management and referrals.
