Associates in hosts/hostess positions are committed to cultivating an environment and experience that make restaurant guests feel welcome. They provide exceptional guest relations by greeting restaurant patrons upon arrival, escorting them to their table, ensuring their dining experience has been excellent, and bidding guests farewell as they leave. Hosts/hostess are highly knowledgeable of all Company safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and protocols, skilled at using Toast and Open Table and other restaurant systems, and flexible in responding to operational needs with a "can-do" approach. They also inspect restroom facilities and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure timely and prompt cleaning and sanitation.
Essential Job Duties:
•Provide guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plateware, and glassware.
•Ensure dishes are clean and available as needed.
•Responsible for setting up dish machine in the morning and closing down machine in the evening.
•Wash tableware according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
•Place clean tableware in specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
•Set up lined trash cans in employee restrooms, prep cooking lines, and dish room.
•Maintain the kitchen's cleanliness by sweeping/ mopping floors, and emptying trash.
•Trouble-shoot any dish machine malfunctions.
•Inform Manager on duty of any problems and take fast action when necessary.
•Work frequently in a hot, damp environment.
•Hazards include cuts, burns, and slipping/tripping.
•Must be dressed in clean Company uniforms at all times.
•Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
This is a seasonal position running from approximately March through October.
Pay: $ / hour
Education, Experience & Behavior Requirements:- High School Diploma/GED required
- 1 year similar experience prefered

- Ability to read and comprehend data sources, written work instructions, policies, procedures and other work materials in English in order to perform essential duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and operational standards and trainings
- Demonstrated skill in the application of automated reservations or point of sale information systems to effectively and correctly execute various transactions
- Regular lifting, moving and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage etc. weighing up to 0 pounds across the restaurant
- Regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant to greet and escort guests, hand-off take-out food orders, remove garbage, etc.
- Regular ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to escort guests, etc.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
