About The Role
As we expand our presence across the Americas, we're seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead our Mid‑Market technical sales motion in AMER. You'll partner closely with Mid‑Market Sales leadership to qualify and advance opportunities with sophisticated buyers evaluating Notion as a strategic platform, including integrations with existing tech stacks, phased deployments, and security and compliance needs. This role is pivotal to driving technical wins and measurable impact on pipeline and expansion across the region.

You And Your Team Will

  • Partner with AMER Mid‑Market Sales leaders and AEs to drive technical wins across the region
  • Build and deliver compelling, scalable technical demos and proofs of concept tailored to mid‑market use cases
  • Advise on integrations, security, and compliance requirements common to mid‑market customers, coordinating internal and third‑party resources as needed
  • Document technical considerations, curate product feedback, and contribute to internal knowledge bases
  • Evangelize Notion's platform and AI capabilities and influence our roadmap through clear customer insight

What You'll Achieve

  • Lead and scale the AMER Mid‑Market Solutions Engineering function, including hiring, mentoring, playbooks, and processes
  • Increase win rates and expansion by elevating technical discovery, demos, and POCs
  • Shape go‑to‑market by partnering with Product, Engineering, Marketing, CX, RevOps, and Sales Enablement to bring customer signal into product strategy
  • Establish best‑in‑class demo assets, tooling, and narratives to demonstrate value at scale

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers supporting AMER Mid‑Market AEs
  • Set standards for discovery, demo excellence, POCs, and technical validation
  • Guide customers on IAM/SSO, DLP/SIEM considerations, and API usage to support advanced workflows
  • Respond to RFPs and security questionnaires with precise, timely detail
  • Represent Notion with customers and at industry events; contribute to technical content and field enablement

Skills You'll Need to Bring

  • 5+ years as a high‑performing Solutions/Sales Engineer, including leadership experience mentoring or managing SEs
  • Technical depth in SaaS integrations and platform architecture, with the ability to explain and apply APIs in real workflows
  • Strong executive presence and customer communication; proven partnership with Sales, Product, and Marketing
  • Demonstrated project leadership and a growth mindset in fast‑changing environments
  • Curiosity and fluency with rapidly evolving AI technology and its practical applications in productivity

Nice to Haves

  • Early‑stage startup experience
  • Hands‑on experience with Notion and designing relational databases
  • Familiarity with LLMs and using AI tools to improve workflows
  • Coding ability sufficient to write basic scripts using the Notion API

Notion is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role's scope and complexity, and the candidate's experience and expertise, and may vary from the range provided below. For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated on-target earnings (OTE) for this role is $255,000 - $285,000.
