Job Summary

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and friendly customer service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards in a fast-paced setting
• Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, and proper food safety procedures to uphold health standards
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering duties using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, leveraging your culinary experience when needed
• Provide guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Support host/host duties when necessary by managing reservations and seating arrangements through OpenTable or comparable reservation systems
• Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices
• Follow sanitation protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing procedures
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations is beneficial but not required
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively environment such as a nightclub or restaurant setting
• Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $2.13 - $4.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
