Your Role:
This diverse Manufacturing Operator 2 role is primarily focused on the safe and efficient manufacturing of products that are used by our customers to manufacture the most advanced semiconductors in the world as well as life science products that contribute to quality-of-life enhancements. As a Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma, you will manufacture materials using existing production procedures and maintain a high level of safety and quality in the work environment. Additional responsibilities include:
Produce, purify and package chemical compounds to meet the requirements of MilliporeSigma customersStage materials utilizing a variety of warehouse equipment including pallet trucks and Powered Industrial TrucksVerify the quality and integrity of materials and equipmentPerform in-process analytical testing including workups and simple interpretations as described in the Master Production RecordUpdate batch records, computer systems and SAP per ISO proceduresDemonstrate proper lab, manufacturing and packaging safety practices in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, DOT and other regulatory agency guidelinesMaintain a high level of safety with our pro-active "see something – say something" approach to safetyParticipate in core operational excellence programs including Daily Management System, 6S organization and safety walksParticipate in team-based objectives focused on improving safety, quality and production output of key manufacturing processesEngage in personal and professional career development through active participation in development objectivesShift/Hours: 12-hour day shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM - 2/2/3 schedule (M/T on, W/R off, F/S/S on, M/T off, W/R on, F/S/S off, repeat)Physical Attributes:
Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicalsWork in occasional wet, humid abnormally hot or cold environmentSit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of timeLift and/or move up to 50 poundsWork with and in proximity of hazardous chemicalsUse close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focusUse a range of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipmentWork near moving mechanical partsWho You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing settingPreferred Qualifications:
Prior industrial work experience or chemical handlingUnderstand chemical reactions and hazardsUnderstand ISO and quality systemsMechanical and technical aptitudeRead and understand written protocolsDetail oriented and excellent multitasking abilityStrong problem solving and equipment troubleshooting skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPay Range for this position: $21/hour - $37/hour
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
