Join a dedicated warehouse team as a Forklift Operator, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. The position offers hands-on experience with floor scrubbers, compactors, and forklifts, with a clear path for training and advancement. This position will begin by supporting warehouse cleanliness and compactor operations, with the opportunity to be trained and certified as a forklift operator after demonstrating proficiency and reliability. Training hours are 9:00am-5:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Operate a floor scrubber for approximately three hours each shift to maintain warehouse cleanliness
  • Remove cardboard and trash from the warehouse floor for the remainder of the shift
  • Break down and load cardboard into the compactor
  • Load pallets into the wood compactor as needed
  • Complete a training period (two weeks to one month) in compactor operation before being cleared for forklift operation. Training and Operation of Fork Lift is determined by Volkswagen Management thus timeline is an estimation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

  • Physically able to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to complete required training for compactor and forklift operation
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Must obtain customer clearance and complete training prior to operating a forklift

Pay Rate is $20.00 dollars an hour paid weekly

This facility is a distribution warehouse and produces biproduct such as larges amounts of cardboard, pallets, packing materials and trash. All in all, our team works to remedy and remove these biproducts from the floor. Training and Operation of Fork Lift is determined by Volkswagen Management.
