Hourly Compensation:
$13.00 per hour, weekly pay

Job Summary
The Forklift Operator, QC Inspector is based at the Valdosta, GA manufacturing plant, with operations in the U.S. and has overall responsibility for ensuring the superior craftsmanship and adherence to design specifications in the manufacturing of wooden sheds, conducting meticulous inspections at each stage, and contributing to continuous improvement in carpentry-related processes. This position reports directly to the Manager and Plant Supervisor and does not have direct reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements comprehensive inspection protocols for each stage of the manufacturing process, including material intake, component assembly, and final product inspection.
  • Conducts visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards, utilizing your carpentry expertise.
  • Inspects and approves raw materials for use in manufacturing, identifying and addressing any quality issues related to carpentry standards.
  • Performs in-process inspections during the various stages of shed construction to identify and rectify any deviations from quality standards related to carpentry work.
  • Addresses and resolves carpentry-related quality concerns in real-time.
  • Conducts final inspections on completed wooden sheds, focusing on carpentry craftsmanship, structural integrity, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Determines product acceptance and facilitates necessary corrective actions for non-compliant items related to carpentry standards.
  • Maintains detailed records of carpentry-related inspection findings, including photographic documentation and written reports.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement within the carpentry aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of enhanced quality control procedures related to carpentry.
  • Safety operates a forklift
  • Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
  • Assists in other duties within the carpentry manufacturing plant, including the following:
  • Erector/Siding.
  • Electrical.
  • Flooring.
  • Framing.
  • Painting/Trim.
  • Panel Saw.
  • Press/Rafting.
  • Ramps/Accessories.
  • Roofing.
  • Small Structures.
  • Trusses.
