Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for creating beautiful hairstyles while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for clients. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior stylists and contributing to the overall success of the salon.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality hair styling services, including cuts, colors, and treatments tailored to client preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and salon equipment to ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
  • Utilize salon software for appointment management and client records.
  • Educate clients on hair care products and techniques, promoting retail sales through effective upselling strategies.
  • Mentor junior stylists by sharing knowledge and best practices in hair styling techniques.
  • Perform hair threading services as needed, ensuring precision and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to store management tasks, including inventory management and maintaining stock levels.

Skills

  • Proficient in various hair styling techniques with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Experience with salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
  • Knowledge of retail math to assist in sales tracking and inventory management.
  • Ability to sanitize tools and maintain hygiene standards within the salon environment.
  • Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with upselling techniques to enhance retail sales within the salon setting.
