We are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join a growing logistics company's operations supporting import activities. This position requires a seasoned professional with strong knowledge of customs procedures and regulatory compliance to handle diverse cargo shipments and ensure seamless import clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities

Customs Entry Processing

  • Prepare accurate ocean import customs entries
  • Review and verify shipment documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Process high-volume import entries while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to resolve clearance issues
  • Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders throughout the import process
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams
  • Provide updates and status reports to clients as needed

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes
  • Stay current with changing customs regulations and PGA requirements
  • Ensure all entries meet regulatory standards and deadlines
  • Work within tight deadlines to ensure timely cargo release

Required QualificationsExperience & Knowledge

  • Experience in ocean import customs entry preparation
  • Understanding of customs regulations and international trade procedures
  • Experience working in high-volume, deadline-driven environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with Ocean Imports
  • Additional certifications in customs brokerage or international trade
  • Knowledge of specific industry verticals (automotive, electronics, textiles, etc.)
