Licensed Practical Nurse - OBGYN

Williamsburg, VA

Pay From: $28 per hour

MUST:

The Licensed Practical Nurse must have experience:

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of practice

Experience In Clinic Or Hospital Medicine Required
Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping.

Experience working in an OBGYN or a women's health environment

Knowledge of medical office operations and procedures.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

CPR certified

DUTIES:

Conduct new OB interviews, provide prenatal care information, and schedule necessary labs and ultrasounds

Educate on recovery, contraception options, and breastfeeding as needed

Assist providers with gynecologic and obstetric exams, procedures (e.g., Pap smears, colposcopies, IUD insertions), and minor surgeries

Respond to patient calls or walk-ins with clinical judgment—evaluate symptoms, escalate as needed, and provide guidance per protocols

Return patient calls for abnormal symptoms, medication issues, or pregnancy concerns; document and route findings to provider

Provide quality patient care in a clinic or hospital setting

Adhere to medical standards and protocols

Maintain accurate medical documentation and record-keeping (utilize Electronic Medical Records)

Support medical office operations and procedures

Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
