Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group's business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.

Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.

Who We Are Looking For
This is what you will do
The Head of Marketing – AIM & Chiesi Total Care, LATAM Expansion, Rare Diseases, will work with the AIM Global Portfolio Strategy Head, to develop and implement Global and US prioritized tactics for both disease state and branded communications in support of Chiesi's AIM franchise. The position will also be responsible for additionally working with the CTC director and brand leads to ensure consistent branding and implementation of set strategy. This position will also be the main point of contact to support the strategic expansion of GRD brands into LATAM markets. The role is leveled from Director commensurate with the experience of the candidate.

You'll be responsible for:

  • AIM Marketing (50%)

  • Leadership and direct line management of AIM Therapeutic Area Product Managers.

  • Support the teams strategic and branded and unbranded tactical plans in collaboration with the global commercial lead and cross-functional commercial team
  • Drive the brand's peer-to-peer strategy, priorities and goals, and ensure that initiatives are aligned with brand business objectives, including integration of KOL strategy into overall brand marketing strategy
  • Work closely with medical and sales to ensure successful execution of field-driven tactics through cross-functional collaboration
  • Foster strong cross-functional partnerships across the Americas organization to ensure aligned objectives and implementation of the brand strategies
  • Utilize high level of business acumen in analysing and coordinating activities from identified industry trends, competitor's resources and practices
  • Ensure performance tracking/monitoring, including any required action planning
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial/"out-of-the box" thinking by generating and implementing new ideas to grow the AIM portfolio
  • Build cross-functional/Regional collaborations, to ensure alignment on projects/processes and to share best practices

  • CTC Marketing (25%)

  • Lead marketer for Chiesi Total Care, ensuring consistent brand identity and value proposition across full portfolio

  • Develop and execute campaigns that elevate patient experience, adherence, and service innovation.
  • Partner with digital, patient engagement, and commercial operations teams to build our US CTC brand

  • LATAM Geo Expansion (25%)

  • Main contact for LATAM team to support the strategic expansion of GRD into LATAM markets

  • Ensure readiness for launch and commercialization in priority LATAM countries
  • Collaborate with LATAM regional teams to ensure GCST, regulatory and supply alignment on strategy and timings

You will need to have

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science
  • 10+ years sales, marketing or other relevant commercial or analytical experience
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical brand marketing
  • Experience with OPDP and FDA requirements
  • Solutions-oriented, strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Creative, innovative, problem-solving approach
  • Independent self-starter
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including some international travel. Travel will vary by month based upon projects and meetings.

We would prefer for you to have

  • MBA, or advanced degree
  • Global commercial experience and Rare Disease experience
  • Digital experience

Location
This is a hybrid position based in our Boston, MA office.

Compensation
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $203,670 to $248,930. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
