Full-Time Nanny Position (Long-Term)

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, typically 6:00 AM–6:00 PM (some weeks 7:00 AM–5:00 PM). One weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM). Guaranteed 40 hours per week.

About the Family

A dual-physician family with two young children (ages 2 and 16 months) seeks an experienced, dependable, and engaging full-time nanny. Both parents have demanding, variable schedules and value reliability, warmth, and structure in their caregiver.

Children

• Toddler (2 years): Bright, curious, and independent. Loves horses, dressing up, and imaginative play. Currently attending daycare up to 5 days per week; requires morning drop-off before 8:30 AM and pickup by 5:00 PM. Beginning potty training and thriving with encouragement and consistency.
• Infant/Toddler (16 months): Playful, affectionate, and active. Enjoys outings, cars, and cuddles. Prefers a gentle, patient approach when meeting new people. Starting daycare in June.

Both children respond well to gentle parenting, clear boundaries, and structured routines. They enjoy outdoor play, educational activities, and community outings (zoo, museum, parks, library).

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for both children.
• Manage daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime.
• Drive children to and from daycare, classes, and outings (family provides car seats; nanny uses own car).
• Plan and implement educational or creative activities.
• Maintain a daily log or end-of-day summary for parents.
• Handle child-related household tasks (laundry, tidying play areas, washing children's dishes).
• Let out and feed two household dogs as needed.
• Occasionally prepare crockpot meals or assist with light grocery shopping.

Schedule & Flexibility

• Core Hours: Tuesday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM (may shift slightly).
• Weekend Care: One weekend per month (6:00 AM–2:00 PM). Provides 2 months in advance
• Parents' schedules are set several weeks in advance.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $22–$25/hour (based on experience).
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week.
• Overtime: Paid for hours over 40/week.
• Paid Time Off: Sick leave, personal days, and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, and standard bank holidays).
• Payroll: Paid via payroll system with appropriate tax withholdings.
• Mileage Reimbursement: Provided for on-the-job driving.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience caring for toddlers (nanny or daycare background preferred).
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Fully vaccinated (including flu and Tdap).
• Calm, proactive, and consistent communicator.

Parenting Approach

The family practices gentle, respectful parenting grounded in empathy and clear boundaries. The ideal nanny will reinforce emotional regulation, offer structured choices, and support the children's independence and curiosity.

Additional Details

• Home equipped with nanny cameras (children's rooms only).
• No household cleaning required beyond child-related tidying.
• Must be comfortable with large and small dogs.
• Long-term commitment preferred.
• Trial period and gradual transition available prior to full start date.
