Now Hiring: Test Technician – Ground Support Equipment

Location: Windsor, CT

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Join a trusted leader in airport ground support equipment manufacturing as a Test Technician at our Windsor, CT facility. In this critical, hands-on role, you'll be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and performing final quality checks on complex systems—including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. You'll help ensure every unit meets strict performance and safety standards before shipment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Pay: $25/hour
  • Raise Potential: Increases based on performance and role progression
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 10% of total yearly earnings

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct operational testing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Inspect completed equipment to verify performance, safety, and compliance with engineering specs
  • Diagnose system issues and perform necessary adjustments or minor repairs
  • Accurately document test procedures, results, and any corrective actions taken
  • Work closely with assembly, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly
  • Perform final system inspections and acceptance testing prior to shipment
  • Help improve testing procedures and documentation standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment testing, maintenance, or related technical field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Skilled with diagnostic tools and test equipment
  • Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around large equipment
