Overview

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. This role requires a strong understanding of Android development principles, as well as experience with various programming languages and frameworks. The successful applicant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly applications that meet the needs of our clients.

Duties

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance Android applications.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement engaging user interfaces and enhance user experience.
  • Conduct user research to gather feedback and improve application functionality.
  • Utilize design patterns such as MVC to create maintainable code structures.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs and web services into mobile applications for seamless data exchange.
  • Implement multithreading techniques to optimize application performance.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.
  • Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure application reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with backend developers using technologies like , .NET, or Python for application integration.
  • Utilize version control systems such as Git or SVN for code management.
  • Maintain documentation of application development processes and updates.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android development; familiarity with C#, Swift, or Objective-C is a plus.
  • Experience with mobile application frameworks such as Xamarin or Angular.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and web services integration.
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts and database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Gradle build system for Android projects.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and principles in software development (OOP).
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment using tools like Jira for project management.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as JUnit for unit testing is preferred.
