We're excited to offer a new opportunity for a part-time, 20 hrs/wk Wellness Coach to join our team. This position qualifies for earned time, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Based in the Augusta area, this role will be embedded in a dynamic partnership with our Bariatric Program — a unique chance to bring health and wellness programming directly into the practice and to our patients. You'll have the opportunity to engage one-on-one and in groups, helping individuals build sustainable, healthy habits that support their long-term success.

Job Description:

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a mentor, educator, and advocate for personal health and wellness.
  • Collaborate on developing and implementing wellness activities that promote overall health and well-being.
  • Deliver engaging group sessions on topics such as stress management, healthy living, and prevention strategies.
  • Offer individualized coaching to help participants identify goals, overcome barriers, and maintain motivation.
  • Build strong relationships and foster a sense of community among participants, encouraging peer support and shared accountability.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, and nurses—to ensure an integrated approach to patient wellness.
  • Track outcomes and participant feedback to continuously strengthen the program.
  • Provide insight and recommendations based on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Health Coaching Certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a motivational approach to working with diverse individuals
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
