Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) and Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents and clients by delivering personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Experience in senior care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through compassionate caregiving and support.

Duties

  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Support residents with medication administration and vital signs monitoring
  • Provide personal care in accordance with care plans and resident preferences
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping duties
  • Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care strategies
  • Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Follow safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
  • Drive residents to appointments or outings if required

Skills

  • Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
  • Knowledge of ADLs, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward residents' needs
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
  • Ability to perform vital signs monitoring accurately
  • Experience with medication administration is a plus
  • Capable of working independently or as part of a team in various settings such as group homes or personal care homes
  • Physical ability to assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids
  • Valid driver's license preferred for driving residents when necessary

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
