Senior Business Intelligence Developer

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer plays a pivotal role in advancing Convergint's data-driven culture by leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable, impactful BI solutions. This role ensures the accuracy, usability, and strategic relevance of analytics that guide decision-making across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BI Solution Development: Architect, design, and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and models that serve cross-functional business needs.
- Drive Data Quality and Trust: Collaborate with data engineers to evolve curated datasets and the semantic layer in Snowflake, ensuring reliable data foundations.
- Mentor and Coach: Guide BI developers and analysts on design, performance, data modeling, and storytelling best practices.
- Shape BI Standards: Establish and continuously improve internal BI design frameworks, UX guidelines, and data visualization principles.
- Collaborate Strategically: Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable insights and scalable data products.
- Ensure Accessibility and Performance: Apply UX and accessibility principles to deliver consistent, intuitive, and high-performing dashboards.
- Empower Business Users: Train colleagues in dashboard interpretation and data literacy, promoting self-service analytics.
- Influence BI Strategy: Contribute to the roadmap for BI capabilities, governance, and cross-platform integration.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and BI workspace management.

Qualifications
Education:
- No specific education requirements
Experience:
- 5–7+ years of experience developing BI solutions, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Proven track record of delivering high-quality dashboards and mentoring junior developers.
