Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to add to our team of project managers, superintendent's, and office staff to help manage the day-to-day operations of various size construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of underground utilities, earthwork, and civil infrastructure and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, in a midsize firm as both a subcontractor and a general contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple civil, earthwork, and underground construction projects simultaneously
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking utilizing various software's and systems
  • Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, foremen, crews, subcontractors, and inspectors
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for constructability and scope
  • Process change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress billings
  • Coordinate, manage and submit detailed material submittals and submittal logs
  • Maintain strong communication with owners, engineers, municipalities, and utility providers
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications
  • Monitor production, quantities, and job costs; proactively identify risks and solutions
  • Participate in project meetings, site walks, and progress reporting
  • Marketing, sales, and customer acquisition and retention
  • Project estimating, take-offs, and contractor outreach
  • Help facilitate and manage our safety program
  • Maintain required written programs and reports through ISN
  • Submit quarterly and yearly OSHA reports

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in civil and/or underground construction project management
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm, dry utilities), earthwork, and civil infrastructure
  • Multitask, problem solve and work autonomously
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and civil drawings
  • Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and field operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with the following software's strongly preferred
  • Agtek, MS Project, Excel, Procore, Outlook
  • Optional software includes: Bluebeam, HCSS, Foundation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Passing random drug testing and screenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with public works and municipal projects
  • Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and local agency requirements
  • Experience in BPA and other electrical grid and access construction preferred
  • Background in estimating or field supervision
