Sr. Project Manager/Quality Control Manager Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Project Manager/Quality Control Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. DAP Construction Management (DAP) is part of the Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) on Davis-Monthan Airforce Base. This is a fast-paced position that requires all projects to be completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards of the Government. This role requires strong leadership in construction administration, safety, QA/QC, and schedule adherence for federal projects. This role involves coordinating with federal employees, subcontractors, architects, and internal teams to deliver successful construction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and manage construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including attending site visits in-person.
- Ability to write narratives for Task Order Proposal Requests (TOPR) as part of project submittals.
- Assist with Estimator with estimates.
- Develop budgets, timelines, and work scopes; monitor costs and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Procure materials and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, and requirements.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Track project changes and manage documentation including RFIs, Amendments to Statement of Work, submittals, and modifications.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to Government.
- Oversee project closeout process including punch lists, final inspections, and Government turnover.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in Federal Construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, conceptual drawings, and SOWs.
- Familiarity with design-build methods.
- Familiar with Government regulations, including UFGS, Public Law 91-596, and Fire Prevention, and Health (AFOSH) Program.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- OSHA-30, EM , and current CQM-C Certification (preferred or must be obtained upon hire).
Additional Requirements
- This position requires access to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (DMAFB). Candidates must be able to pass an in-depth background check in accordance with federal and base security requirements.
