Position Overview:

Criterion Plumbers is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Residential Journeyman Installer to join our growing installation division. This role is responsible for performing high-quality residential plumbing installs—including water heaters, water softeners, full repipes, sewer replacements, fixture installations, and system upgrades—with craftsmanship that aligns with The Standard for Excellence. Candidates must hold an active Idaho Journeyman Plumbing License to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform residential plumbing installations to Idaho code, manufacturer specifications, and Criterion quality standards.
  • Install water heaters (tank and tankless), water softeners, filtration systems, recirculation pumps, pressure regulators, and expansion tanks.
  • Complete whole-home repipes (PEX, copper, CPVC) and fixture replacement projects.
  • Install and repair residential sewer and water service lines (interior and exterior).
  • Layout, measure, cut, assemble, and install pipe and plumbing systems with precision.
  • Operate equipment such as ProPress tools, sewer machines, jetters, saws, and torches safely and effectively.
  • Ensure job sites are clean, professional, and safe at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, inspectors, and management.
  • Complete detailed install notes, material lists, and job documentation.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Train and mentor apprentices when assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Idaho Journeyman Plumbing License (no exceptions).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on residential plumbing install experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Idaho code and installation best practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, interpret job scopes, and follow written instructions.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
