Location: Ocotillo Golf Club - Chandler, AZ

­The Banquet Captain at Ocotillo Golf Club oversees and coordinates all aspects of banquet and event operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional with strong leadership skills and the ability to ensure seamless execution of events, from setup to breakdown.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate all aspects of banquet and event operations, ensuring the successful execution of each event.
• Collaborate with event planners, clients, and internal teams to understand event requirements and expectations.
• Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure the team delivers exceptional service.
• Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring proper placement of tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
• Conduct pre-event inspections to ensure all details are in place.
• Interact with clients and guests to ensure their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
• Address any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Train and mentor banquet staff on service standards, procedures, and customer interaction.
• Conduct pre-event briefings to communicate event details and expectations.
• Monitor the quality of food and beverage service to ensure it meets or exceeds standards.
• Address any service-related issues and implement improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Banquet Captain or in a similar supervisory role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and event planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
