Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an Automation Tester- QA to join their team. As an Automation Tester- QA, you will be part of the Front Office Support team, focusing on testing and automating front-end systems within the Capital Markets and Fixed Income sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Capital Markets experience is essential - the client is looking for candidates who have worked in institutional trading environments. Retail investing platforms like Ally Invest or E*TRADE typically don't provide the depth of exposure needed for this role.

Job Title:
Automation Tester- QA

Location:
New York, NY or Charlotte, NC (onsite 2-3x/week)

Pay Range:
$75-80/hr W2

(due to client rules, we are unable to work with 3rd party subcontractors)

What's the Job?

  • Develop and expand automation frameworks for front office trading systems using Python or Java.
  • Automate test cases for complex trade workflows in Fixed Income Capital Markets applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to review stories, vet requirements, and automate new features.
  • Maintain and update test artifacts including test plans, cases, and automation scripts.
  • Participate in impact assessments and contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes.

What's Needed?

  • 5-7 years of experience in application development or automation framework development using Python or Java.
  • Hands-on experience in creating automation scripts for front office trading applications such as Murex, Summit, Numerix, or ION.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and web service API testing.
  • Experience working as a QE/SDET within agile/scrum teams, shipping features frequently.
  • Deep understanding of complex trading workflows and risk identification in Capital Markets environments.
