Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting and Fund Administrator to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, managing complex financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting the organization's financial health. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, experience with Sage accounting software, and a solid understanding of financial concepts and corporate and Fund accounting. This position is integral to maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, investor statements, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, interpret financial statements, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Conduct cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX compliance standards, and relevant securities law regulations.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and assist with auditing processes to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Sage, The Mortgage Office and other financial management tools for daily operations.
  • Assist in the development of internal controls and mentoring junior staff or interns in technical accounting procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all financial transactions and ensure data integrity across systems.

Experience

  • Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial statement preparation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as SOX compliance and securities law is preferred.
  • Experience working with various accounting software including Sage, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in financial analysis, cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes.
  • Prior involvement in auditing processes or regulatory reporting is advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as budgeting, forecasting, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial reports accurately and communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to mentor team members or interns in technical accounting procedures. Pay: From $70,304.00 per year
