Job Overview:

Conduct a variety of investigations for Corporate Security (CS) in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Central and South America. Responsible for gathering, analyzing and processing documentary evidence, interviewing witnesses to gain relevant information, and reporting investigation findings through clear, concise and detailed reports. Responsible for self-leadership, investigative projects, investigations committees and planning events relevant to Corporate Investigations. Works closely with the Center of Competence Investigations and IT Forensics. CS services will be a sub function, supporting other Corporate Security divisions in conducting risk assessments, organizing and leading security details for Mercedes Benz events throughout the AMER region including protection of personnel, sites, products and prototypes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop work plans to include investigative steps, relevant documentation required, schedule and ascertain necessary resources. Identify and work with the appropriate management representatives across business units and ensure compliance with Mercedes Benz and Corporate Security investigative policies and procedures. (30%)
  • Gather, analyze and process documentary evidence; Conduct and document interviews with witnesses to gain relevant information; Document the investigative process and findings from each step. Evaluate the results of investigations and identify recommendations for actions to reduce risk to the business. Prepare clear and concise reports in a timely fashion. Monitor and report the implementation of recommendations. Cooperate and assist authorities throughout AMER region and abroad as requested. (30%)
  • Lead/participate in investigative projects/committees both within the AMER region and globally via collaboration with international Corporate Security colleagues and global investigation standards/SMEs. Projects designed to; (1) improve investigative methods, and (2) security metrics, i.e., incident reporting, trend, and security risk analysis. Work with business unit managers and Corporate Security colleagues to ensure compliance with Mercedes Benz policies and procedures. (30%)
  • Corporate Security services support for Mercedes Benz events such as auto shows, dealer meetings, car clinics, personal/executive protection, etc. Conduct risk assessments, identify needed resources, complete advance and crisis planning, protect prototypes/employees and oversee vendors. Be on site and available to the clients as needed. (10%)

Qualifikationen

Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner) are a plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in corporate investigations, compliance, internal audit, or law enforcement.
  • Proven track record of conducting complex investigations involving fraud, misconduct, policy or regulatory violations.

Key Skills:

  • Investigative Expertise: Skilled in interviewing, evidence collection, digital forensics, and report writing.
  • Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of corporate law, employment law, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EEOC, FCPA, GDPR).
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize large volumes of data and identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Communication: Clear and concise reporting; able to present findings to senior leadership and legal teams.
  • Discretion & Integrity: Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates high ethical standards.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with investigation tools and case management software.
  • Competence in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and digital evidence handling.
  • Proficiency with AI tools

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing and working across departments.
  • Resilience and emotional intelligence to handle sensitive situations.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
