Position Overview

We are hiring a Part-Time Live Camera Operator to stream live events using a pre-built camera

rig. There is no prep work — you show up, get handed the rig, and stream the event while

following direction from the Live Content Producer. The camera rig is heavy, so applicants

should be comfortable carrying and operating it for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and receive the ready-to-go live camera rig.
  • Operate the camera and stream the entire event from start to finish.
  • Carry and handle a heavy camera rig for the duration of the live stream.
  • Follow real-time direction from the Live Content Producer for framing and movement.
  • Capture smooth, stable, run-and-gun style footage.
  • Monitor basic rig functions (battery, ensuring the stream stays live).
  • Maintain professionalism around staff, talent, and attendees.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from event locations (mandatory).
  • Comfortable carrying and operating a heavy camera rig for long durations.
  • No formal job experience required.
  • Must have prior experience shooting events, sports, or run-and-gun content (personal or

school projects count).

  • Able to take direction in real time and stay focused throughout long live sessions.
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently once given the rig.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Basic familiarity with cameras or live-streaming setups.
  • Comfortable operating handheld rigs
