Overview
Coastal ENT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within various teams.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers in performing examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record patient intake to include medical history.
- Prepare patients for examinations, prepare for upcoming in office procedures and provide patient education.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health information systems.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Assist with diagnostic testing such a CT Scans.
- Complete order logs, tasks and patient messages.
- Perform environment of care, breakdown of exam rooms, and assist with supply inventory.
- Assist with Prior Authorizations for medication and in office services.
- Collaborate with nursing staff in various departments, including the Allergy Department.
- Ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and medical terminology.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
- Familiarity with outpatient practices and protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
