Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, drafting, and litigation. Duties:
- Conduct legal research using various resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Assist with case management, including organizing files and maintaining case calendars
- Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process
- Provide general administrative support to the legal team as needed
Experience:
-MUST BE LICENSED IN NEW JERSEY
-2 years Personal Injury experience required.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and writing
- Experience with litigation procedures and practices
- Familiarity with legal software and databases such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
