INTERNSHIP FORMAT
This internship will follow a hybrid/in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and are expected to work on-site 3 to 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2026.

DEPARTMENT DETAILS
The Brand Identity Graphics Intern will be based in the Product Design Office studios in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative visual content that supports new ideas for the brand identity of our products, brand strategy and digital design initiatives. The intern will participate in studio-related activities and interface with various levels of management while gaining exposure to real-world design processes.

Key responsibilities include generating new branding concepts, assisting in the creation of brand identity systems (logos, typography, visual guidelines), contributing to website design projects, and helping ensure visual consistency across all brand touchpoints. Ideal candidates are design students passionate about visual storytelling, brand development, and creative innovation. Daily mentorship and guidance will be provided by experienced designers and program specialists.

  • Your portfolio should represent your skills as it pertains to the position to which you're applying
  • Your most current work should be presented first and displayed in descending order of most current to oldest
  • When appropriate, provide a brief description of your contributions to work that is submitted for review. (i.e., if a full model is presented, explain if you were responsible for the full model or if your involvement was limited to specific areas of the model)

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree toward Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or Animation Design
  • Able to work 40 hours per week during the internship
  • Candidates must submit a current portfolio, saved as a PDF, representing work from freshman year to the present (specifically highlighting automotive design projects if applicable)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of sophomore year or higher at an accredited university by the Summer of 2026
  • Working knowledge of Alias, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, PowerPoint and/or similar programs
  • Exceptional design intuition, with strong presentation and design communication skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite; Primarily Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Comprehensive skill set in Adobe Illustrator Interface
  • Comprehensive understanding of 2D Design Aesthetics
  • Graphic Design Passion for Logo Branding
  • Strong understanding of Typography - Type/Font Design
  • Proficiency in presenting benchmarking & design themes
  • Understanding of design aesthetic, balance, symmetry & harmony
  • Receptive to group feedback and direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must exhibit strong leadership characteristics
  • Creative and innovative thinking
