Position

The Dublin San Ramon Services District is seeking a full-time, temporary Laboratory Technician to assist the Laboratory & Technical Services Division.

Hours of work will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This assignment is anticipated to last up to six (6) months or 1000 hours, whichever occurs first, but may end at any time at the discretion of the District.

Essential Functions

Performs a variety of journey-level duties in support of the Laboratory and Technical Services division including:

  • Cleaning and maintaining laboratory and field equipment.
  • Preparing standard chemical solutions and reagents for laboratory.
  • Collecting and analyzing WWTP samples.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and analytical results.
  • Sample receiving and reporting.
  • Digitizing laboratory equipment records.
Training and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree in chemistry, biology, natural sciences, or a related field.
  • Clerical experience including data entry, filing and organizing documents.
  • Experience in an environmental laboratory is desirable.
