Nail Technician Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nail care, sanitation practices, and customer service. As a Nail Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nail services while ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients. Your expertise in color theory and various nail techniques will enhance the overall experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of nail services, including manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in compliance with health regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with clients and understanding their needs.
  • Educate clients on proper nail care and recommend products for at-home maintenance.
  • Upsell additional services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, body waxing, and esthetic laser treatments.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and products to provide innovative services.
  • Assist with retail sales by promoting products that complement the services provided.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of color theory and nail care techniques.
  • Previous experience in customer service within the beauty industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sanitation practices specific to nail care.
  • Additional skills in hair styling, barbering, hair threading, dermabrasion, or retail math are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
