Certified Nursing Assistant

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings. What you'll do

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote their independence and comfort.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation for each patient.
  • Provide support in administering medications and assist with medical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.
  • Engage with patients to offer emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive environment.
  • Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to ensure safe patient handling.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Basic qualifications

  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to effectively communicate patient needs.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation.
  • Background in long-term care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Skills in phlebotomy, catheter care, and medication administration are highly valued.
