Our work environment includes:

  • Work-from-home
  • pay based on 40 hours per week but we work only 36 (close early on Fridays)

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist.
  • Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and billing procedures.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes, including claim submission and follow-up.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using medical billing software and related tools.

Position: Medical Billing Specialist

Location: Rockford, IL

Responsibilities:

Claims Processing: Manage the end-to-end process of medical claims, including verification, submission, and follow-up with insurance companies.

Coding Compliance: Ensure accurate coding of medical procedures and diagnoses, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Patient Billing: Generate and send patient invoices, providing clear and concise explanations of charges and payment expectations.

Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, confirming eligibility and obtaining pre-authorizations when necessary.

Reimbursement Optimization: Identify and resolve claim discrepancies, denials, and appeals to maximize reimbursement.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all billing activities, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
