Meet the Team
The Product Test Engineering team at Silicon Labs develops and maintains innovative test solutions for our industry-leading wireless microcontrollers. We ensure every product meets Silicon Labs' high standards for performance, reliability, and quality before it reaches our customers. Our work sits at the intersection of hardware and software — combining deep electrical engineering knowledge with practical programming and lab experience to deliver best-in-class wireless solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test systems and hardware setups for silicon and module validation.
- Create and execute test programs to ensure product functionality, performance, and reliability across manufacturing and qualification phases.
- Utilize Python and C (embedded) to develop, debug, and automate test processes.
- Perform lab measurements using instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and multimeters.
- Collaborate with design, validation, and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement in product test quality and efficiency.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings in support of yield improvement and product qualification.
Skills You Need (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python (or similar) for test automation or data analysis
- Experience with electrical lab work and familiarity with test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Basic knowledge of embedded programming in C, particularly for microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino or similar platforms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to debugging and validation.
The Following Qualifications Will Be Considered a Plus
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other wireless protocols, in either software or hardware environments.
- Familiarity with semiconductor ATE (Automated Test Equipment) or production test flows.
- Exposure to data analysis tools for yield and test performance monitoring.
- Understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless measurement techniques.
- Prior internship or project experience related to hardware validation, test automation, or embedded systems.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $76,960 ($37/HR) to $87,360 ($42/HR) USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other components may include a sign on bonus.
