GEOTECHNICAL TECHNICIAN

For over 52 years, Test Lab, Inc. has provided quality engineering services to our clients. We provide Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Engineering and Testing and Construction Inspection Services. Test Lab is seeking a Geotechnical Technician for our Coring Team.

We hope to grow this position into a Full-Time role in the future.

Under direction of a Project Manager, a Geotechnical Technician performs field and office tasks within the geotechnical and construction industries. Field work is outdoors, sometimes at night, in all weather conditions and is generally physically demanding.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift materials weighing up to 60 lbs.

· Basic Math skills are used to compute test results.

· Performs duties at multiple job sites.

· Ability to read plans & specifications.

· Prepare written reports.

· Load and unload trucks.

· Clean and maintain equipment, including minor repairs including lubrication and cleaning.

· Other duties as assigned.

· A portion of the field work is Night Work – must have availability.

· Valid driver license and ability to travel out of town for several days.

· Communicate effectively with officials, co-workers, contractors, consultants.
