Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, and physical education tailored to young learners.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that supports childhood development through individualized attention and early intervention strategies.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively while ensuring a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate progress and address any concerns regarding child welfare.
  • Utilize your experience with special education to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs.
  • Conduct assessments and standardized testing to track student progress and inform instructional practices.
  • Provide toddler care with an emphasis on safety, hygiene, and emotional support during daily activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Desired Skills

  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create inclusive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
  • A passion for teaching, along with the ability to inspire curiosity and creativity in young learners.
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

Range of pay $ $15.60 Hourly

In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
