r to support our client at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, TN.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform FEAs on vacuum chambers and must be familiar with FEA modeling and analysis.
  • Responsible for developing calculations on vacuum chambers, torque calculations, bellows, lifting calculations, and comparing to code requirements (applicable ASME codes).
  • Responsible for providing input into the vacuum specifications.
  • Responsible for providing technical review of the drawings and providing markups to be consistent with the technical design.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience (lesser years of experience with concentration in vacuum design will be considered).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
  • Vacuum Mechanical design experience.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • This position will be onsite in Oak Ridge, TN.
  • Schedule is full-time, Monday – Friday 40-hour week.
