We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee all aspects of kitchen operations. Duties

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
  • Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
  • Train and develop team members in food handling techniques, customer service excellence, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure proper staffing levels during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Supervise food production processes to meet quality standards for casual dining, quick service, or fine dining environments.
  • Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food purchasing, labor, and operational expenses.
  • Support catering events or banquet services as needed to expand the restaurant's offerings.
  • Lead by example in fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes teamwork, hospitality management, and leadership development.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new hires to build a skilled and motivated culinary team.
  • Oversee bar operations if applicable, including beverage service standards and barista or coffee experience requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in kitchen operations within fast food, casual dining, or fine dining settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for sales transactions and cash handling procedures.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in staff training & development and team management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices to optimize food production efficiency while minimizing waste.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interviewing, staff supervision, and customer service interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Hospitality management experience preferred; hotel or catering background is a plus.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles related to food costs and labor expenses.
  • Experience with food safety standards and certifications relevant to the food industry.
