  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking a skilled and dependable Plumbing Foreman with strong supervisory abilities to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial and/or industrial plumbing, with the ability to lead crews, coordinate work on-site, and ensure that all plumbing activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with codes and quality standards.

As a Plumbing Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising daily field operations, managing crews, and collaborating closely with project managers, superintendents, and other trades. Your role will include planning and laying out work, assigning tasks to team members, ensuring work progresses on schedule, and solving problems as they arise in the field.

You will be expected to monitor safety compliance, enforce job site safety protocols, and conduct tool-box talks and inspections. Your technical expertise will be vital in troubleshooting complex plumbing issues and guiding team members in effective and code-compliant installations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, leadership experience in the field, and a commitment to mentoring less experienced plumbers and apprentices. You should also be comfortable with reading blueprints, coordinating with inspections, and tracking materials and labor on site.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day plumbing work on-site.
  • Lead and direct a crew of plumbers and apprentices to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is performed to code, meets project specifications, and aligns with safety standards.
  • Interpret and implement blueprints and plumbing drawings.
  • Schedule and prioritize tasks to maintain productivity and meet deadlines.
  • Track labor hours, material usage, and daily progress.
  • Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for complex plumbing tasks.
  • Communicate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with all safety policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Plumbing Foreman or Lead Plumber on construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, and local plumbing codes.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience supervising plumbing crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools related to the trade.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
  • A valid plumbing license or journeyman certification is required.
