San Francisco, California, United States Monday Talent Full time $80,000 - $140,000 per year

A forward-thinking advisory firm at the intersection of technology, policy, and reputation is seeking a Senior Consultant to help lead its AI practice. With a client roster that includes some of the most influential names in artificial intelligence, this is a unique chance to guide how the world understands cutting-edge technologies. If you want to be at the heart of one of today's most dynamic industries, this could be the perfect opportunity for you

This firm has built its reputation on designing bold, high-impact communications that help global brands, investors, and innovators shape perception when it matters most. Employee-owned and proudly independent, they've cultivated a culture where collaboration, curiosity, and long-term growth come first.

ABOUT THE SENIOR CONSULTANT ROLE

This person will sit at the intersection of technical curiosity, analytical depth, and exceptional storytelling and is ideally energized by understanding complex systems - whether that's model architecture, autonomy stacks, AI safety work, chips, compute, or emerging research - and translating them into compelling narratives for technical and high-influence audiences.

This is an ideal role for someone who:

  • Has foundational experience adjacent to engineering, developer relations, technical journalism, AI policy, or research analysis
  • Gets excited about "how things actually work"
  • Reads research papers, technical blogs, or AI newsletters for fun
  • Is looking to deepen technical acumen while growing as a strategist and communicator

We do not prioritize consumer-facing AI launch experience. We prioritize technical translation, analysis, and the ability to ask smart, probing questions.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR CONSULTANT

Technical Translation & Narrative Building

  • Support technical clients by translating complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate, compelling content.
  • Draft technical blogs, Q&As, briefing notes, research summaries, narrative frameworks, and strategic messaging rooted in technical understanding.
  • Engage directly with technical stakeholders to clarify nuances and pressure-test ideas.

Research & Insight Development

  • Monitor the technical AI ecosystem, including ML systems, model releases, compute trends, and safety debates.
  • Conduct research across papers, academic work, ML blogs, policy briefings, and developer documentation.
  • Identify emerging trends and shape internal thinking on AI narratives.

Account Delivery

  • Contribute to strategic recommendations for clients across AI, frontier tech, autonomy, deep-tech investing, and policy.
  • Prepare spokespeople for interviews, technical podcasts, deep-dive briefings, and thought leadership moments.
  • Build strong internal and external working relationships.

Team Contribution

  • Bring curiosity and self-education to every project.
  • Support drafting, editing, brainstorming, and technical upskilling sessions.
  • Demonstrate conscientiousness through detailed research and proactive learning.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3–6+ years in developer communications, technical journalism, AI policy research, technical community building, or B2B technical comms.
  • Strong writing ability with a track record of distilling complex concepts.
  • Comfort working with highly technical people.
  • Demonstrated technical curiosity and habits of self-learning.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Familiarity with ML/AI concepts.
  • Exposure to developer ecosystems, policy, or AI safety.
  • Experience in strategic communications or advisory environments.
