Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate experienced Dog Groomer/Bather to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent grooming skills, and experience in handling dogs of various breeds and temperaments. This role involves bathing, grooming, nail trimming and caring for dogs to ensure they look and feel their best while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. Candidates with veterinary experience or animal handling background are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, and grooming dogs according to breed standards and customer requests
- Handling dogs safely and humanely during grooming procedures, including animal restraint when necessary
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized grooming area and equipment
- Providing gentle animal handling and care throughout the grooming process
- Assisting with pet care tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and brushing
- Communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and special instructions
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of animals during all procedures
- Heavy lifting of animals or supplies as needed to facilitate grooming tasks
Requirements
- Prior experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work.
- Knowledge of dog training, veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
- Strong animal restraint skills and understanding of pet care best practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners
- Ability to handle dogs safely and compassionately of various sizes and temperaments
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal welfare
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
