Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on various vehicle makes and models. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technical expertise and customer service are highly valued. The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.

Duties

  • Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced tools and schematics to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Execute routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement.
  • Repair or replace components including air brakes, ADAS systems, auto body parts, and welding as needed.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and optimal performance.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed for customer service and auto estimating purposes.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and industry regulations.

Experience

  • Proven dealership experience or equivalent automotive repair background preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair is desirable.
  • Familiarity with GM vehicles, automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, brake repair, and powertrain maintenance.
  • Experience working with schematics and automotive electrical systems is highly advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills coupled with auto estimating experience preferred. This role requires a motivated professional committed to quality workmanship and excellent customer interactions. Candidates should possess strong mechanical skills, relevant experience in automotive repair environments, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
