About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center FieldOps Technician to support production network cabling and physical infrastructure within our data center environment. This role is responsible for loopback testing, circuit audits, cabling support, and onsite troubleshooting to ensure operational reliability and compliance.

This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform loopback testing and network circuit audits to validate connectivity and performance.

· Identify circuits requiring testing and set up equipment to simulate traffic.

· Troubleshoot and isolate failures discovered during testing.

· Conduct physical inspection of network circuits and verify configuration accuracy.

· Document all audit findings, discrepancies, and test results.

· Remediate circuit issues discovered during audit/testing.

· Work onsite in a data center environment supporting cabling installations, upgrades, and maintenance.

· Attend mandatory safety briefings and comply with safety protocols at all times.

· Participate in overtime or weekend work as needed based on workload and project priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 3-5 years of experience in data center, network cabling, or structured wiring environments.

· Experience testing and troubleshooting fiber systems (MMF & SMF) using tools such as OTDR & PMLS (Preferred).

· Familiarity with fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, or OSP fiber work (Preferred).

· Ability to read, understand, and update technical documentation and circuit records.

· Hands-on experience with trade tools including screwdrivers, snips, punch-down tools, crimpers, fiber cleaning and inspection tools, tone sets, etc.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.

· Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, or in confined spaces.

· Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

· Good color vision and ability to read labels, small print, and visual indicators.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour
