Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong kitchen skills, and experience in various food service environments, including fine dining or catering. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary expertise within a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Support the kitchen team with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure all food handling complies with safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist in menu planning and daily specials as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Follow food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Support catering events or special functions as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurant or food industry settings
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent understanding of food presentation and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Fine dining experience or culinary training is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food prep and presentation
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain composure during busy hours
