We are a boutique insurance-defense litigation firm representing carriers, TPAs, and insureds in matters involving property damage, construction defects, commercial disputes, personal injury, and coverage-related litigation. Our practice is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative. We pride ourselves on excellent client communication, strategic litigation planning, and quality work product.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of civil litigation experience, ideally with exposure to insurance defense, first-party property, general liability, premises liability, construction defect, or commercial litigation. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable managing a litigation docket with attorney supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all phases of litigation under supervision, including:
  • Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
  • Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and inspections
  • Preparing discovery responses and directing document review
  • Conducting legal research and writing supporting briefs
  • Communicating with clients, adjusters, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Assisting with case evaluation, strategy discussions, and reporting
  • Maintain compliance with carrier billing guidelines and internal workflows.
  • Contribute to deposition prep, trial prep, and coverage analysis as needed.
  • Manage deadlines, calendaring, and production timelines efficiently.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • 2–3 years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense preferred)
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Ability to handle multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with insurers, adjusters, or carrier guidelines is a plus
  • Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required
