We have an immediate opening for a talented and motivated individual to serve as a customer IT Specialist. You will be provided with the extensive and ongoing training needed to succeed in the field of electronic security systems. This is the ideal position for someone that is looking to start their career or take it to the next level with a stable, well respected and established company.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware and IP communication issues for clients' systems, including DVR/NVR, Access Control Systems and Electronic Security Systems.
  • Handle inbound calls to department and assist clients as needed.
  • Communicate with client IT personnel to troubleshoot a variety of issues that will include IP Filtering, VPN Tunneling and Port Forwarding.
  • Bench testing and repair of devices and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate data entry of all activity.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

  • 2-year college degree or equivalent experience required, 4-year college degree in a related field preferred.
  • Industry Standard Certifications a plus: CompTIA Network+, A+, and/or Security+; Cisco.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
  • A thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with PC hardware and IP network communications.
  • Knowledge of security systems, digital video recording and closed-circuit television systems a plus but not a requirement for this position.

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise training and direction to our clients.
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic along with a desire to learn and be trained.
  • Flexible and adaptable to thrive in a fast-paced work environment that is team oriented.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Must be presentable/business professional.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
