Job role:
This position will have a high level of autonomy and responsibility. As a production manager, you'll be responsible for establishing production processes and setting up work areas. You will also be responsible for the coordination and control of all manufacturing processes. You'll make sure goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.
The goal is to ensure the manufacturing process that meets customer requirements and delivers exceptional quality product on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule;Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlinesEstimate costs and set the quality standards;Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.Ensure output meets quality standardsEnforce health and safety precautionsIdentify training needs.Supervise and motivate a team of workers;Report to upper managementRequirements:
Planning and organisation skills to be able run and monitor the production process;Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulationsAttention to detail to ensure high levels of quality;Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting conceptsExcellent organizational and leaderships skillsExperience in reporting on key production metricsLeadership experience at a professional manufacturing companyMachine shop experienceProficient in MS Office and ERP softwareBSc/Ba in business administration or relevant field is preferredPreferred quality systems experiencePreferred LEAN manufacturing experienceWork location is Vancouver, WA
