CSR / Veterinary Receptionist

Position Overview

• We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, Veterinary Receptionist to join our great team. Someone willing to go the extra mile, giving clients and their pets the best experience. The Customer Service Representative / Receptionist contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications (Required)

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
• Working experience in a high paced office, phone skills, and great communication, and computer skills

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Prefer someone with receptionist experience in veterinary/animal or medical field to offer our clients the best customer service experience.
• Experience with Avimark software a huge plus.
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a huge plus.

Schedule:

• The customer service team works 30 to 40 hours per week, 8-10 hour shifts during the week and have a rotating schedule to work weekends.
• We are open Mon/Tues from 8am-6pm and Wed/Th/F from 9am- 5pm
• Must be able to work every Saturday from 8am-5pm
• We currently have one open full- time position, we may consider part-time for the right candidate.
