Job Title: Paralegal

As a Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal team by conducting thorough research, managing case files, and assisting with various legal matters. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. You'll engage in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the success of our legal initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
  • Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Manage case files and documentation through effective document management systems, maintaining organization and accessibility.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Review and summarize documents for relevance and importance in litigation or transactional matters.
  • Provide executive administrative support to attorneys by scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Stay informed about developments in various areas of law including estate planning, immigration law, family law, and more to provide informed assistance.

Basic qualifications

  • Proven paralegal experience within a law office setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting and proofreading legal documents.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with UCC law, environmental law, patent law, securities law, and workers' compensation law.
  • Proficiency in PCLaw and iManage for case management and billing purposes.
  • Experience in project management to oversee case timelines and deliverables effectively.
