Job Title: Staffing Coordinator

Location: The Bronx, New York

Shift: Full-Time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Salary: $35 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team in The Bronx. This position plays a vital role in ensuring proper nursing coverage, maintaining schedules, and supporting efficient operations within the nursing department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date directory of nursing department staff contact information
  • Track and report employee attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism to the Director of Nursing Services (DON)
  • Coordinate modified work duty schedules with HR and DON, adhering to policies and restrictions
  • Assist staff with scheduling-related forms, such as timecards and leave requests
  • Develop and post monthly schedules to ensure full coverage across units
  • Respond to staff inquiries regarding scheduling and timekeeping
  • Ensure new hires are equipped with timecards, schedules, and IDs before orientation
  • Keep accurate records of employee certifications and licenses
  • Assist with staffing adjustments based on census changes to minimize overtime
  • Prepare nursing department payroll and coordinate with external staffing agencies
  • Cover Unit Secretary duties when needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a nursing facility
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
